We All Make Mistakes!

This week I learned that just because a color looked good on one dresser doesn't mean it will work on another.  Well, I knew this but I have always made it work this time I had to redo the whole thing!  We found this dresser at a thrift store and picked it up for a really good price.  The dresser itself is from the 1950's/1960' made from real wood which is so hard to find these days.  We brought it home and got started immediately.  Here is what it looked like when we brought it home...
How often do you find a 9 drawer dresser made from real wood.  The top is a veneer finish, which is hard to get through, but can be done.  The drawers are super deep!!  Here is what it looked like when I finished it the first time...

Its hard to see but its the same light pink with white hardware that I did on the dresser from last week.  As you can see its boring and you can barely even tell its pink!!  Ugh I was so mad, I hate when I spend this kind of time and don't like the result.  So, another pink paint color later and more spray paint and here is what we have now...

We bought a new pink and changed the hardware to a pretty brass color to make the pink stand out.  This is for sale right now on craigslist for $175.  It would be prefect for a nursery to be used as a dresser and a changing table!

Here are a couple other projects that were finished this week as well:
Pretty Wrought Iron Plant Stand
$35
Rectangular Turquoise Entry Way Table
$75

We are finishing up another beautiful dresser this week!  We were having a rough yard sale day and then we went to just one more and dropped more than we ever have at one yard sale!  Here is what it looked like when it was sanded waiting for paint...
Guess what color!!!!  Until next week...
